The J9 Foundation is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and advised by a volunteer Board of Advisors.
Board of Directors:
Michael J. Nyenhuis, Executive Director
Michael is the father of Jacob J Nyenhuis. Along with his work for the foundation, Michael is President and CEO of MAP International, a global Christian relief and development agency providing health services in some of the world’s most impoverished communities. Michael is responsible for overall strategy, program and partnership development.
Sandra L. Nyenhuis, Chair
Philip B. Belt, Treasurer
Phil is a quality assurance expert in the pulp and paper industry. As treasurer of the foundation, he is responsible for overall financial management, operating policies and adherence to external standards and best practices.
Kim Childs Belt, Secretary
Kim is the operations director for The Gathering Place, a Christian youth ministry in
John Butin
John is both a lawyer in private practice and an Episcopal priest. He also has extensive previous experience in community development programs in Africa and
Mary Butin
Mary is a marketing professional with extensive experience in the corporate world. She currently runs her own marketing company, providing services to a variety of clients. Mary provides overall leadership to the foundation’s marketing and public relations activities.
